Failed Assassination On President Donald J. Trump

With the attempted assassination of the 45th President Donald J. Trump, on July 13th, 2024, in Butler, Pennsylvania, the 2nd American Civil War, seems to have reached a boiling point.

(Bullet flies by Trump, ripping through his right ear, missing his head by just and inch)

Lord Jesus, we thank you for your devine protection of Trump during this evil attempt to take his life. Watch over Him and his family, Lord, now and moving forward as he continues to fight evil. Lord Strengthen him and his team, give Him courage to carry one, and wisdom in who to trust.

Strengthen America and awaken the hearts of your people. Lord, we also pray comfort for those who lost a loved one and also the two in critical condition. We pray this would wake America up to evil it faces, and those willing to stand against it, even till death. In Jesus' name, amen.

“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword..."

Matthew 10:34

I remember vividly, coming across this verse in scripture and feeling mostly confusion, but also a little anger and frustration. I remember asking the Lord, “why would you bring division, I thought you were here for peace”? Jesus goes on to say in verse 35 and 36...

"For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household."

As a new believer, I wrestled with this verse for quit some time but then, as the years went on and I began to lose my old friends and even family over my beliefs, I re-visited this verse. It now, years later, made so much sense. The division and our sword are automatic. It comes with the ideology or any differing ideology for that matter. One believes this set of ideas, the other believes these set of ideas, and gradually, the differences become so diverse that it splits the two. It cuts like a sword.

Sadly, I’ve known for a while now that this is exactly what is happening in America. The two major political parties in our country have propagated their ideas to the point of an ideological fork in the road to this country’s future. We are at war! The line has been drawn in the sand, and it has most effectively divided even the closest of allies.

Unfortunately, I’m convinced at this point that before things get better in our country, things will have to get much worse first. This assassination attempt is just the beginning. It’s actually a sign of how desperate the establishment is to eliminate this threat to their power. A sign of their tight grip on the mind of the American population slipping. Although these are good signs, they are also terrifying. A dog backed into a corner will not hesitate to bite even his own master. I fear they would rather destroy us before losing their power and giving it back to the people.

(Trump raising his fist in the air, yelling “Fight” after the attempted assassination. )

With our nation as divided as ever and with the lines now clearly drawn in the sand, I am very encouraged by Donald J. Trump and his fervor for this great country I call home.

Watching him rise from the floor after taking a bullet to the ear and raise his hand in the air in pure patriotism, I was brought to tears. First, because I don’t think I have ever seen one man take on such a powerful and evil syndicate like the establishment year after year, trial after trial, case after case. And second, because I know now that men who are willing to die for what we have (men with financial means and influence to make a difference) exist.

I love reading 1st and 2nd Samual or the Psalms and the stories about Davids’s conquests and adversity. Watching God help David fight giants and slay evil. But how amazing has it been over the last eight years to witness in real time our own David. The peoples champion taking on the modern-day goliath, and watching Gods divine hand protect his appointed.

As fearful as I am this day about our future in America and even our present, I am also hopeful and encouraged. No matter the outcome, it has been an absolute honor and privilege to bear witness to this last decade of shear craziness. I am encouraged. And you should be too.

Joshua 1:9: "Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

2 Timothy 1:7: "For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control."

Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through him who strengthens me."

Psalm 46:1-2: "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."

Revelation 21:4-5: "He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain."

I'll end with this, Lord Jesus, thank you. Let your will be done and help us until it's done. Amen.
